    A BRIEF HISTORY

    Having spent summers in Kitty Hawk since 1947 and now a permanent resident in Martin's Point with his wife and three children, Dick knows no other place on earth with the attraction and mystique of The Outer Banks. Possessing a Degree in History, Dick now concentrates on the history and the future of real estate in Dare and Currituck Counties. He lived in Duck which during the time he was growing up was, of all things, a U.S. Navy bombing range! His grandmother purchased 150 feet of oceanfront property in Kitty Hawk for the whopping sum of $600.00 - that's right, six hundred dollars with a cottage! Dick believes the potential for profit is still great and attributes his success to his ability to convince people to make that first move; in other words, buy real estate here and now and you'll be glad!
